Your Data
When you send information to Alan Rogers via the contact form on this website, he receives this information in an email. Generally, he deletes this email, once he has replied, and does not store you details in the long-term. Deleted emails will be retained on our hosting account servers for approximately one month following deletion. Exceptions to this would include emails discussing contracts or where we are required to keep information to comply with government laws (eg. for tax records).

When visitors leave comments on the Blog page we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

All data we receive via the Alan Rogers Art website will only be used for the purpose expressed on the particular form. We won’t pass on your personal details to third-parties (exceptions to this are listed below). By contacting Alan Rogers, you won’t be added to any mailing lists.

Who we share your data with
This website is hosted in the UK. Emails you send us pass through the hosts servers. You can read their privacy policy here. It’s possible that emails we receive could be viewed via Googlemail or other similar service, in which case your email, would be visible to these services.

If you leave a comment on the blog, an anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Web developers/designers who work on this site will be able to see any data submitted via the site. We currently use Design Now, and you can read their terms here.

Your Rights
You can contact us to request a list of data we hold about you. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, tax, or security purposes.
